Hi team,
Currently the process is that vendors will get new order emails after an order is placed, even if it’s not yet paid.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to send this mail after the payment is actually made?
Since this way vendors will actually know when a product need to be shipped.
Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

Hi,
But what about COD, Bank Transfer etc … orders?
Hence, vendor will not receive new order email ever!
Thank you

Hi,
I get your point.
However, what if an order is placed but payment is never made. Vendors will have no idea which orders they actually have to ship right?
I’m thinking maybe
1) Send an email to vendor when the order is made, stating that an order has been made but awaiting payment
2) Send another email to vendor when payment is made, telling them it’s good for shipping
Or is there a better way? Let me know what you guys think!

Hi,
“However, what if an order is placed but payment is never made. Vendors will have no idea which orders they actually have to ship right?”
– Vendors are well aware of order status. Now, you just have to know vendors, on which status they can ship order item.

Hi,
But how are they aware of order status if there are no emails to notify them?
- February 16, 2019 at 4:47 pm #48535WCFM ForumMember
HI,
Why so? Vendors are notified with each order status change.
Thank You

Hmmm… that seems to be the problem here. My vendor accounts only get one email for new order, with no subsequent emails to notify them of any further order status changes.
So you are saying normally they should be getting more emails? What might be causing this?
Thanks!

Hi,
It is turned on.
Thanks

Ok, so on order status update vendor should receive emails.
Keep install this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-logging/
And check which emails are triggered on order status change!
Thank you

Okay thanks for the advice.
Tested it again.
Vendor only gets one new email when new order is first placed.
Than I manually changed the order status from on-hold to processing and from processing to completed. -> Only the customer get emails, nothing for the vendor.

Hi,
Tell me two things –
1. How order status change from “On Hold” to “Processing” (Vendor received mail for this, right !)
2. How order status change from “Processing” to “Completed”?Thank You
- February 22, 2019 at 8:47 am #49505samsun34567Participant
Hi,
I manually changed it in Woocommerce -> Orders for testing purposes.
Is this what you’re asking?
Thanks!
- February 22, 2019 at 9:17 am #49509WCFM ForumMember
Hi,
Yeah right, all by admin? or, vendor himself updated status to “Completed”?
If Admin update then vendor will definitely receive status update notification.
So, I am very sure “Processing” status update initiated by Admin.Thank You
- February 22, 2019 at 10:51 am #49513samsun34567Participant
Yes it’s all initiated by admin.
But still no email to vendor about the status change.

Hi team,
Any update on this?
Thanks!

Hi,
So, I am very sure “Processing” status update initiated by Admin.
– If this is not working then how vendor was received “Processing” status update notification?
Please test this with a fresh Order.
Well, are you enabled “Auto Withdrawal” generate option?
Thank You
- March 19, 2019 at 4:54 am #53407samsun34567Participant
Hi,
I tested with a new order and it’s the same.
So the vendor never got any email for when the status was changed to processing from on-hold.
1. Vendor only get 1 email when new order was placed.
2. Customer get 2 emails when new order was placed as well as when status changed to processing from on-hold.
3. Admin get 1 email when new order was placed.I think you might have misread when you said vendor received “Processing” status update notification, since there was never a mail to vendor when this happens.
Thanks!

Hi
I don’t know why my status update notification was turned off. I turned it on and it’s working. Thanks!

One more question, where do I customize or translate these status update emails? Couldn’t seem to find them anywhere. Thanks!

Glad to know, it’s now working for you 🙂
Well, you may translate those texts from WC Frontend Manager translation file.
Thank You
