ParticipantHi
I have a plugin that hides the categories based on user role – ‘WooCommerce Products Visibility‘Admin = display categories
Shop manager/customer/registered/guest = categories are hidden
This works on frontend, Search, category display etc
But a shop manager can still see the hidden categories in the wcfm > Products > Manage product – add new/edit product
Please see attached screenshot
Can you please advise on how I may prevent these hidden categories from being displayed to shop managersThanks

ParticipantThinking about this some more
I do have memberships set up too
I suppose that what I am aiming to achieve is to enable, or disable, certain categories by membership
(Worst case as it would be a manual setting for each shop manager, enable, or disable, certain categories on a shop manager by shop manager setting)ie – membership 1 = all categories enabled
membership 2 = categories 1 to 20Hope this makes sense, I did look at wcfm plugin groups and staff but could not see that this is achievable with this plugin

ParticipantAha – I think I have found a solution
Capabilities > Product Categories
Select only the categories that I would like shop managers to add/manage productsHaving now done this – May I request a feature – Also allow ‘select categories to NOT use as the current settings is to select all categories that shop manager ARE allowed to post in
Also
Selection only allows to select parent categories, no option to select chil/sub-categories.Thank you

MemberHI,
Capabilities > Product Categories
Select only the categories that I would like shop managers to add/manage products– Yeah right, vendor/shop manager will able to see only allowed categories from capability setting.
Thank You

MemberHi,
Selection only allows to select parent categories, no option to select chil/sub-categories.
– We have intentionally skip sb-categories and those are control by main categories.
Otherwise this setting option will become very painful to use.
Thank You
