Hi. We’ve launched our site recently but there is one issue that some vendors are really struggling to understand and set and this is shipping. We have done written instructions and three video guides but still many struggle. The main issue is that they struggle with setting shipping rules at a shop level whereas with other multi-vendor marketplace platforms which they use, they tend to set all shipping at a product level. Sometimes the shop level settings aren’t sufficiently flexible. For example, some vendors set the USA as one of their shipping zones at the shop level because they ship most of their products to the North America zone but they choose not to send one or two items to that zone. There is no way of preventing a shopper from the North America zome adding the product to their cart and seeing a £0 shipping cost beside the item because there are not shipping classes set and there is no way of using a shipping class to prevent the sale of a product to a specific zone, if it is an exception to the rest of the shop.
Could a solution be that you take a similar approach to shipping settings as you do with shop policies. This would mean rendering in each product the full shipping settings that the vendor set at shop level and thereby allowing the vendor to adjust these settings at a product level if they need to – such as removing one of the shipping zones then they can do this?
Thanks
Jamie

Switched and used the Per Product Shipping solution. Better option. Didn’t realise it was compatible because it wasn’t listed in the compatible plugins page.

Update for anyone thinking of using this plugin. It’s not quite fully compatible as it doesn’t send the shop vendor information to Stripe and so Stripe cannot allocate any money to your vendors. It can therefore cause chaos. We have a fix though although even this isn’t quite 100%.
