Hi WC LOVERS,
Since the last update (5.0.8), I can’t acces to WCFM settings and capabilities..!
I have updated WCFM Ultimate and WCFM Marketplace too; but it only works fine when I roll back to WCFM 5.0.7 …What’s going on??
Thanks!

HI,
I am really sorry for the inconvenience but that really strange!
There is no such change to block Setting or Capability, at least for Admin.
Can you please know me what happening if you are trying to access settings/capability pages?
Thank You

Thank you for your quick answer.
When I want to access to Settings on Capabilities; the page is in infinite loading; and there is only the WordPress admin bar on the top.
The problem appears too when I’m logged as a Vendor. In Mozzila’s console, I have this message :
false wcfm-script-wcfmmarketplace-settings.js:261:5
I do not know if there is a link with the problem
Thanks
Vincent

Hi,
This is just a log, no error.
Is there any error in Browser console?
Can you please check in Google Chrome once!
Also, if you have caching then please clear those once and take a look. Browser cache as well.
Thank You

Hi,
Can you please share a demo vendor with me to quick check this?
Thank You

Hi,
Thanks for the details, I think it’s because of this error – https://ibb.co/nBq69p
Page is not loading properly.
Just do a quick check, enable any default theme and check are you still getting this issue or not!
Between, did you cleared caches?
Thank You

Yes, I cleared all caches (browsers and server).
You are right, I have just tested with an other theme and the problem disappears
Do you have any idea how can I fix this? Thanks !

Hi,
I think some setting is missing so it’s not getting the default values.
Well, can you please check one more thing, are you getting this error trough out the site or only for WCFM Dashboard page?
Do you have “Disable Theme Header” for WCFM dashboard ?
Thank You

Hi,
Can you please check at theme setting for option related to “select2”?
If possible then disable this from theme setting.
I think, your theme loads a very old version of “select2” library and that breaks the thing.
Thank You

Hi,
– I have only this error for WCFM dashboard
– I have tested to reactivate the Theme Header, but it not fix the problem
– How can I find settings which use Select2 and disable it ? (I’m not a developer I’m sorry for my basics questions). Is it possible that the problem could come from an other plugin instead of the theme? But, what I don’t understand is that it worked perfectly before your latest update! 🙁
Thank you for helping me !

Hi,
“what I don’t understand is that it worked perfectly before your latest update!” – I am also surprised with this as there is nothing change in this in latest update.
“Is it possible that the problem could come from an other plugin instead of the theme?” – I don’t think so as error thrown from theme JS, and only for specific pages where “select2” present.
“How can I find settings which use Select2 and disable it ? ” – Well, if you are comfortable then may share your site access with me to check this.

Hi,
I just need wp-admin access.
“why not disable your Select2 version?” – WCFM loads own select2 but some theme override this using their own, and off course for WP theme priority is more than plugins. So most of the theme comes with an option to disable their “select2”, I have to check this first.
Thank You

Sorry to piggyback on this one but I am having the same problem with the 5.0.8 Frontend Manager update. I have Ultimate installed as well. I cannot access the dashboard as Admin or as a user if I update to 5.0.8, only when I rollback to the 5.0.7 version. I’m using the MyListing theme. I’m interested in learning how to disable the select2 as well if that ends up being the issue.

I use MyListing theme too !

I actually can’t load WCFM at all now with either version – I’m not sure what changed. It definitely is an issue with the theme as I can use another default theme and it works. I’ve tried and had issues in Safari, IE, Edge, and FireFox.

Hi @vinz,
I have fixed the issue in your site.
Well, My Listing has no such setting for select2 so I have resolved by changing script load dependency in WCFM.
We will include this in WCFM next update as well.
@Sarah, what happen? Are you getting JS error in browser console?Thank You
- September 12, 2018 at 9:07 pm #31523SarahGuest
I’m not sure what caused both versions to stop working for a while but I got that resolved. I haven’t seen any browser errors. I still can’t use the 5.0.8 version with the MyListing theme, as I think I’m experiencing the same problem as Vinz. Will the next update be out pretty soon? If so I’ll just wait for it and hopefully that script load dependency change will fix my problem as well. My site isn’t live yet so I still have plenty of other areas to tackle at the moment.
