Section to manage vendor tax certificates

… mainly a german topic but other european countries might follow (~2021).
Long story short:
New laws transfer taxation liability to marketplace owners in order to force vendor to pay VAT. Marketplace owners do protect themselves by:
– collecting Date of birth if vendor is private.
– collecting tax certificate (e.g. PDF) issued from Tax office (e.g. in Germany § 22f certificate), if the vendor is a business (certificate is valid for 3 years)
Custom field in membership plan doesn’t work, because the vendor need “Store-name” and optionally “Store identification number” first in order to get the certificate from tax office.

A supplementary section within “vendor verification” would be great. (Optionally with the possibility to select between business and private, but private could be handled via registration form).
Admin to be able to activate this section or not. Admin to decide which one (business or private) to Auto-approve or not as soon as files are uploaded and dates are entered into date-picker.

For business:
– Upload possibility for files: Once approved from admin, only admin allowed to delete or change. New certificates to be added, not replace the old ones.
– Required date field for start of validity of certificate
– Required date field for expiry of certificate.
– Required field for standard tax-number
– Optional field for VAT-tax-number.
– E-Mail information (admin and vendor) 1 month before expiry
– E-Mail information (admin and vendor) on day of expiry
– Great would be a sorting function in vendors list to pick those with currently no valid certificate.

For “private” vendors:
– Field to enter date-or-birth –> nice to have, not so important.
