First let me say that I LOVE your memberships integration! It makes it so easy.
On my old site I had to use 2 plugins to make that functionality.Question to you. Any suggestion on how we can use the “membership” approval to trigger emails sent through WooCommerce follow-ups plugin?
Let me explain – In my previous site I used WooCommerce subscriptions to act as the “membership” gateway. Once a subscription was purchased the rules set inside of WooCommerce Subscriptions was set to “turn their account status from customer to vendor” AND to “add them to a WooCommerce Follow-ups subscription list” so we could then send them a serious of account set up email tips and tricks.
Now that we are using your membership settings to do that do you have any suggestion on hos to automatically add a successful membership sign up to a WooCommerce Follow-ups list?
Thanks for your consideration and assistance with my questions

Hi,
Well, you may still use same setup here.
Just create membership plans using WC Products, please check this – https://youtu.be/SfOMIxNfr3w
Thank You

Ok I’m testing that out.
Question – when the system sets up an “automatic” payment profile with PayPal through a subscription product I see that when a subscription is canceled that is also coordinates with PayPal and cancels that automatic payment profile which is awesome.
Will this do the same through memberships? So when someone cancels their membership the automatic payment profile is also cancelled?

Ok so I linked the subscription product to the membership like you demonstrated in the video.
Here is what I notice:
1. When I purchase a membership it does set up the automatic payment profile in Paypal which is great.
2.There is no order showing up on the WooCommerce Order list. Should it not be there?
3. there is no subscription order showing up WooCommerce Subscriptions list. Should it not be there?
4. When I cancel the membership (as the vendor) I do not see any cancellation of the PayPal automatic profile that was created automatically with the purchase. Should that action also automatically cancel since it made it automatically?
5. When a membership is canceled their account is labeled “Disable Vendor”. How do we get them off that title so that they can re-register? - March 19, 2019 at 12:44 am #53375

Hi,

– No, this does not auto-cancel payment schedules at PayPal.
2.There is no order showing up on the WooCommerce Order list. Should it not be there?
– Order will be visible, only if you have setup membership using WC Products. Then you will Order and Subscription both.
5. When a membership is canceled their account is labeled “Disable Vendor”. How do we get them off that title so that they can re-register?
– Not clear! Well, that vendor will not able to register again using same email.
Thank You

I have a quesrion.
IF I link the membership plans using WC Products (as per the video instructions you provided https://youtu.be/SfOMIxNfr3w )If those recurring subscription products are created and belong to a “vendor” (An administrative vendor). Will the membership process still work the same?
AND when the membership is canceled will it also cancel the recurring subscription (I have woocommerce subscriptions installed as well)?
I’m hoping by doing it this way we will be able to see the membership subscriptions because they will be tagged to a vendor account rather than the admin.

3. What do you recommend for the best way to manage cancelled memberships and the cancelling of the Paypal automatic payment profile OR maybe I’m confused.
Does the Paypal automatic payment profile even need to be cancelled? Once membership is cancelled our system will not longer request a payment is that correct?I’m concerned that if a Paypal automatic payment profile is set up and then a vendor cancels their recurring membership and because the Paypal automatic payment profile is not deleted at that time – Paypal will continue to send the recurring funds based on what was set up at the time of the membership subscription?
BUT I think the safety here is that since they canceled membership the plugin will not actually send a payment request to the Paypal automatic payment profile? so it does not matter if the Paypal automatic payment profile remains after the cancellation? is that correct?4. If we make the membership through the “”Integrate Payments” (and not the “WC Products) how do we view what membership transactions have happened for accounting purposes?
5. Is there a reason that a canceled membership account is not allowed to re-register? Can we add that as a future improvement request?
