ParticipantI would like to know if there is a way to change the vendor store URL in the Marketplace settings for the seller-name. We would like to be able to use a custom field on the registration page such as company name instead of the seller-name.
Current: https://example.com/%5Bthis-text%5D/%5Bseller-name%5D
New: https://example.com/%5Bthis-text%5D/%5Bcompany-name%5D - January 29, 2019 at 3:34 pm #45702

MemberHi,
Well, that field at registration form is not seller name. That name use for creating that seller’s “Store name and slug”.
As I understand, if that label change to “Company Name” your requirement will be resolve, right?
Thank You

ParticipantThank you for the quick follow-up. I believe that would fix the issue. I did notice however that when I changed the vendor URL in the Marketplace Settings to something other then Store Name field is now missing. Our end-goal is to have the store name field be a list of counties versus letting the vendor pick any name they want.

MemberHi,
You can not edit/modify “Store Name” field from registration setting. I will help you in changing it’s label.

ParticipantThank you on this and look forward to the help. I have attached a screen shot of our test registration page. The interesting thing is that I thought there was a required store name field here before and when I changed the Vendor Store URL that field no longer showed up. We will have a custom field such as counties that would be a drop-down list that we want to become the store names such as https://example.com/state/county

ParticipantI did have the “Visible Sold By” unchecked and once I added it back the Store Name reappeared. What we are trying to do now is get the Store Name to be a possible drop-down list that would contain what we add to it. So the store name would be counties and a drop-down list for example (Tampa, Orlando, etc.) We do not want to allow the vendor the option of putting anything in and there would only be one vendor per county which we can control by removing selections from the drop-down list. Is this possible? Thank you again for helping.

MemberHi,
Understand, It’s possible to make Store name field with country dropdown.
Tell me one thing, if 1 vendor choose one country then what happen to next vendor? Is that country invisible!
Thank You

ParticipantThank you for the follow-up. That would be correct. If that county is already used then it would not longer show up. We can only have 1 vendor per county.
