OK, maybe I’m missing something. Can you only add an affiliate manually? There should be a way for the affiliates to sign up. Is there a way for potential affiliates to do that?

HI,

– Right now Affiliate can be added only manually as Admin.
We will add two options in next update –
1. Vendor wise Affiliate
2. Affiliate registration optionThank You

Hello. If a supplier purchased a membership in which he earns 100% of his product.
and An affiliate purchased a membership to earn a 15% commission for product sales. What happens ? - July 4, 2019 at 5:31 am #70940tech2Participant
@citzen09 I assume the affiliate commission comes via the Admins commission for site-wide and the Seller for direct affiliates (which i believe is coming soon).
Example 1:
Site-wide Affiliate program.
Admin Commission 10%
Affiliate Commission 15%Sale = $100
Seller receives $90
Admin receives $10
Admin pays affiliate 15% = $1.50Example 2:
Vendor direct Affiliate program.
Admin Commission 10%
Affiliate Commission 15%Sale = $100
Seller receives $90
Admin receives $10
Seller pays affiliate 15% = $13.50That’s how I expect it to work anyway. I hope this helps

Hi,
If a supplier purchased a membership in which he earns 100% of his product.
and An affiliate purchased a membership to earn a 15% commission for product sales. What happens ?– Well, Affiliate commission calculated on actual product cost.
So, if a product cost is $100 then it’s Affiliate commission will be $15
Thank You
- July 4, 2019 at 6:42 am #70965tech2Participant
That only makes sense for the commission on membership / signup fee.
It makes no sense and can’t work for product sales. What about admin commission on sales?
Let’s say admin takes 10% and affiliate takes 15% then the seller only gets 75%.
It should work how I posted above for the different affiliate options. After all, the sellers haven’t asked us to provide affiliates or give them a percentage of their sale. That will cause huge problems.
When the vendor actioned affiliate programs are launched then the vendor sets the rate and pays the commission but while its site-wide affiliate program released by the store owner all affiliate commission has to come from the admin sales fee.
- July 5, 2019 at 5:48 am #71128WCFM ForumMember
HI,
Let’s say admin takes 10% and affiliate takes 15% then the seller only gets 75%.
– Commission never split in 3 parts. It always divided in two parts – Admin and Vendor.
Affiliate commission separately calculated on total item cost.
Site-wide Affiliate program.
Admin Commission 10%
Affiliate Commission 15%Sale = $100
Seller receives $90
Admin receives $10
Admin pays affiliate 15% = $15Thank You
- July 5, 2019 at 6:19 am #71144tech2Participant
Site-wide Affiliate program.
Admin Commission 10%
Affiliate Commission 15%Sale = $100
Seller receives $90
Admin receives $10
Admin pays affiliate 15% = $15Hold on. Admin makes $10 but pays the affiliate $15. So affiliate sales cost Admin. That makes no sense and is a MASSIVE RED FLAG and ISSUE for the affiliate program.
This is the only way it can work
Site-wide Affiliate program.
Admin Commission 10%
Affiliate Commission 15%Sale = $100
Seller receives $90
Admin receives $10
Admin pays affiliate 15% of admin sales fee = $1.50unless the admin accepts that affiliate commission can never be higher than site fee per sale and accepts to potentially make nothing. The affiliate commission should be taken from the site admin fee when the site-wide affiliate program which is setup by admin is used.
If you release the store by store vendor direct affiliate program option which is setup by the Vendor themselves then yes, the affiliate percentage should be take from the whole sale price meaning:
Vendor direct Affiliate program.
Admin Commission 10%
Affiliate Commission 15%Sale = $100
Seller receives $90
Admin receives $10
Seller pays affiliate 15% of total sale price = $15There has to be two totally different structures to affiliate commission or this will NEVER WORK!
- September 4, 2019 at 2:21 am #79897edo hoparParticipant
Same issue here. Try this:
Vendor 90%
Affiliate 2%I have not tried this method, just an idea. So the way I’m thinking is a basic math, but not sure if will work with wcfm affiliate.
Sale – $100
Vendor receives – $90
Affiliate receives – $2
The remaining $8 is kind of stuck in admins account I guess…I know when affiliates see 2%, they will freak out and never sign up, but this is just an idea for a store owner like us to go around this.
- July 9, 2019 at 6:57 pm #71724vanilladev89Participant
@tech2 $1.50 of $100 is 1.5% not 15% and that’s more than likely how affiliates are going to see it. Another downside I thought of about basing the site-wide affiliate program on how much the admin receives per sale is that you would be opening the affiliate to argue if they are receiving the proper amount. I know 15% sounds better than 1.5% but it’s not worth the headache in my opinion.
- July 11, 2019 at 1:49 am #71896tech2Participant
It’s a percentage of the site fee. Which would be explained in the T’s&C’s.
You can’t expect to give the affiliate lets say 10% and the site admin makes 0. The business will never grow. It has to be structured correctly to guarantee longevity.
Affiliate sales continue for any sales taken via their link and continue with the customers who joined via their link. It’s not a one off commission for the first sale. It’s ever sale moving on from there either from that link or customers gained from that link. So giving the affiliate/s the commission and the site taking nothing is a sure fire way for failure.
This is the only way it can work
Site-wide Affiliate program.
Admin Commission 10%
Affiliate Commission 15% of admin / site fee.Sale = $100
Seller receives $90
Admin receives $10
Admin pays affiliate 15% of admin sales fee = $1.50It just doesn’t work any other way. If the site fee is 10% you couldn’t give an affiliate more than 10% anyway because there would be uproar from the vendors. The affiliate program released as a paid addon is not finished and they have not thought about the details of this.
For it to work both both admin and vendors it has to be how i described above.

Hello
I may no be understanding something properly but the commission overrides did not work on the membership level. I changed the affiliate fixed amount for a particular membership level and when I tested it through a different account the global amount still applied instead of the membership override.
I am not sure if this is somewhere else as an addon but I think a commission transaction detail for the affiliates would be very good piece to add to the affiliate plugin. Right now you give transaction number amount and type, but it is not linked to the actual details about why they got that commission and which transaction allowed that commission.
Thank You

HI,
Well, you may off course set this, but then you have to define Affiliate commission at Membership level – https://ibb.co/BPNfMqY
If vendor register without membership plan then there is no payment from vendor. Then how we will apply “percent” commission? So, this is possible only membership subscription, hence we can apply “percent” commission on membership fee.
Thank You
- August 3, 2019 at 6:25 am #74941tech2Participant
Have you fixed where the commission is coming from yet?
Example. Admin created affiliate program
Affiliate commission is calculated from site sales commission and not over all sale price.
My site takes 10% sales commission so let’s say
Sale price = $100
Sales commission (10%) = $10
Vendor payout = $90
Admin takes = $10
Affiliate commission (50%) = $5
(Affiliate commission calculated from sales commission)If there ever is a vendor created affiliate program the. The affiliate commission would be take from the vendor payout and admin commission would not be effected

do the membership affiliate receive commission once at the point of signup? or on every membership payment,
for example
vendor a signs up to a monthly plan @ £9.99
affiliate commission is 10%
does the affiliate get .99p each month? or only once? when the vendor signs up

1. Vendors may apply to become affiliate option added
1. Affiliate commission calculate on vendor’s commission compatibility addedYou said already that in this update will add that the Vendor has the Affiliate seccion on their panel and I updated but don’t appears.

Good morning.
Thanks for the first update to the affiliate add-on. I am liking the direction it is going.A few suggestions for the future.
1) Allow for affiliate commission to be % based of vendor registration. I played with it with my own accounts and registered one using the affiliate link as a free vendor. I now owe myself $2.00. I would like to see, if a vendor signs up for free then there is no commission. If they sign up for $10 account, commission is 20% thus they get $2.00
2) Allow the affiliate link to stay with the vendor. (I mentioned logging purposes before) This way if a vendor changes from paid to free then paid again there will be another commission. Perhaps this is already in place?
3) As has been suggested, a means to pay the commission either automatically or manually. Thanks again.

Is it possible for the vendor to turn off affiliates/marketing on all their products? They might want to just want to promote their product themselves.. and keep the money…
I wanted to give the choice to the vendors.
If they want to have their product promoted by affiliates.. (or the website owner)… then they get can turn on: “allow affiliates” or they can turn off: “allow affiliates”.
The way I see this plugin works.. is either the website owner or the affiliates can promote the vendors product…
If the website owner makes the sale for the vendor then the website owner gets the percentage…
- September 24, 2019 at 8:07 pm #83440tech2Participant
I’m sure your website always makes a fee per sale anyway?
The affiliate commission can be calculated from the site fee (that’s how I have it)
So let’s say your site fee is 10% and the vendor makes 90% per sale. You can pay affiliates from the 10% so there is no additional fee to the vendor. They may never know affiliates are driving traffic
