I observed some buggy behaviour on my multi-language site. I use the WPML plugin. This is a bit complicated, but please try to follow step by step.
1. In the Woocommerce Backend, some attributes of a product can only be edited in the “original” language of the product. For example, the price and the values of the custom product attributes. This is to make sure, these values stay consistent between the translation. In the product editor for the other languages (not original), these fields are locked (shown by a lock).
2. In the WCFM Editor, the price can be changed in all languages, but you can only save the change in the “original” language. When you try to save the change in another language, the value revert to the last saved value. It is confusing, because you don’t get any warning that your change was not saved.
3. In the WCFM Editor, the values of the custom product attribute can be changed and saved in all languages. If you do this in the original language, the values in the other languages get updated automatically. But if you do this in another language, the value is only changed for this specific language, and not in the other languages. The is very bad, because you lose the consistency in your product data.
Now, how could WCFM Frontend Editor deal with this? I see two possibilities.
Variant A. You forbid changes in the non-original languages on price and custom product attribute like in the Woocommerce Backend (and show this using a lock).
Variant B. The price and custom product attribute can be edited in all languages, and you make sure these values are copied in the other languages.
What do you think? Could you check this with your development team?
Looking forwards to your answer.
Cheers, Gilbert

I just checked the last update and saw you implemented something. Thanks! I like your approach of hiding fields that shouldn’t be edited.
Unfortunately, I found the following issues:
1. Blocking the wrong language
You take the default language of the site and assume it to be the product language. This is not always the case, as the vendors can create their products in different languages. Here is an example:
– Default language is English (see https://ibb.co/6D9Vd4G )
– The original language of product “La Torpille” is French (see https://ibb.co/hWgL7kS)
– In WP-Admin, I can edit the shared information like price in French (see https://ibb.co/BVwWzm8), but not in English (see https://ibb.co/JK5m3L8). This is the correct behaviour.
– In WCFM Front End, the meta information is blocked in French (see https://ibb.co/ZM7HbKX), but not in English (see https://ibb.co/5hXzZ32). This is not the correct behaviour, and it has unwanted side effects.2. Hiding translatable Meta information
By blocking the “meta” information, you also block the edition of “store policies” and “purchase note”, which should be different (translated) in every language.3. Still showing not editable information
With your approach, to be consistent you should also block the edition of the prices (including sales and wholesale prices), tags and categories.-> Could you please fix these issues as well? Thanks for your efforts and dedication to build the best Woocommerce marketplace plugin!

Hi
Have you already looked into this? I think the issue is quite serious, because it should affects all multilingual sites with vendors of different languages.
Kind Regards,

Hi WCfM Forum
First of all, thanks a lot for the update!
I installed and tested it. On the whole, a very good job.
I found a minor bug with wholesalesuite plugin. On some translations of the product, the “rule” field of the quantity based pricing appears.
I illustrated my case here to make it clearer for you:
– French (product language): Everything is OK – you see that quantity based pricing is enabled: https://ibb.co/0YrQW5C
– German translation: Everything OK – The wholesale pricing block is hidden correctly: https://ibb.co/xgvcC7Y
– English translation: Not OK – A “rules field” from wholesale plugin appears: https://ibb.co/JBnzFv0 - August 28, 2019 at 11:37 am #78743shitTParticipant
Comment: The case above was done when I logged in as a vendor. When you login as administrator, everything works fine.
