PayPal Direct Pay shows orders are Unpaid even when paid

If I go to the vendors details page and go to the bottom to see their orders, they still show up as Unpaid. And because it is PayPal Direct Plugin, there is no way for me to check if this payment has actually gone to the store vendor.

Is there a way for it to show Paid if the vendor actually received the money?

I can see a problem in the future with vendors claiming they did not receive the money, our documentation says it’s Unpaid and there will be no way for us to check.
