What is the purpose of the "catalogue" check box in the product editor?

In the product editor – Can you kindly confirm what the purpose of the catalogue check box is used for and how it is different from the catalog visibility settings?

Does the term catalogue = marketplace?

I assumed that a created product is automatically part of the marketplace? Do we have to actually check the box for it to show up in the marketplace?

Well, you may disable this module from WCFM Admin Setting -> Modules as well

Can you provide some examples of what the catalogue feature is all about? or used for?
If I turn it off what will it prevent the vendors for doing?

I’m not sure I understand this feature and don’t see it in the documentation.

I can see the idea now. I think it is the terminology that has me confused.

Can you confirm that those settings actually work?
We can’t get them to work in terms of the visibility part. The setting does seem to remove it from the site search but the products still show up in the marketplace.

This is feedback from our developer regarding the “hidden” setting in particular:
“I am looking into this. It’s a bug of woocommerce itself. I have researched about it a lot in woocommerce github repository.”

– I am not very sure with this. But that’s true, those are WooCommerce core options.
