Hi,
I re-sent you an email today regarding the same un-answered email. Can you kindly check and let me know your thoughts via email.
Kind regards,
AKEKParticipantHi VD,
Thank you for your awesome and outstanding take on this topic. Sorry for my late reply as I was away. Your post is a real treasure for team WCFM.
The points you mentioned are extremely well thought and vital for the implementation of this feature. Any updates about this?
Thanks a lot and have a nice day ahead.
Best Regards,
AKEKParticipantHi Steve,
Thank you for your fantastic writeup. Sorry I was away due to personal reasons.
WCFM is not using payments intent API yet I think? So, we will open the issue with stripe but if they reply that the only way forward is to use the payments intent API, I will post here so that we can move that direction in the future.
Using direct charges are extremely important for EU based businesses due to upcoming tax laws and since SCA is obligatory in EU payments, we will need to resolve this soon. I will keep this post updated and you should hear back in 10 days.
Thanks a lot Steve and team WCFM. Have a nice day ahead.

AkEKParticipantHi,
The code you have is not working. I setup a structure like this:
1. upto €100 commission: 70% (Vendor gets)
2. Upto €200 commission : 80% (vendor gets)
3. More than €200 commission: 90% ( vendor gets).
When I passed test orders, the commission calculation is only taking into account the first rule when your code is active. When I dis-activate your code, the other 2 rules are working as expected.
Can you kindly modify the code such that it takes into account the other 2 rules? I will change the commission and €€ limits.
Please let me know how to test if the limit is re-setting after 30 days (the real purpose of the code you gave).
Thank you and have a nice day ahead.
Best Regards,
Ak
EKParticipantHi,
The reason was the code which you gave which is not working in this ticket : https://wclovers.com/forums/topic/commission-by-vendor-sales/
I will take up the code in that ticket. When code is off, everything is working as expected.
Thank you.
EKParticipantHi…any update about how to test your code without waiting for 30 days? I cannot commit in production without a test and nor can I tell vendors about the commission unless I am sure the code delivers.
Thank you.

I sent you 2-3 emails over the last 2 months but never heard back 🙁
Can you kindly check since the emails have excellent solutions to extend the use of your affiliate plugin for all your user base. I will buy it or else we will need to find alternative solutions using your code.
Have a nice day ahead.
Best Regards,
Ak
EKParticipantThank you for your replies and clarifications. We will get in touch with stripe about this. Let us know if you have any updates about this topic as it fundamentally affects the business model.
Thank you and have a nice day ahead.
EKParticipantHi,
Sorry I was away on work.
Can you kindly let me know how to test the above code without waiting for 30 days? Should I run any schedule task?
Only after testing I can confirm if the codes you gave works as intended. I am quite sure it will from my past experience with your codes 😉
Thank you
EKParticipantOutstanding. Always glad to help you make your plugin the strongest in the market by sharing my experience. Thank you for your amazing efforts.
Have a nice day.

EKParticipantBut here purchased product limit never expire!
—Exactly 🙂 That is why I posted here so you can consider introducing this expiry limit in the future. Without this limit, vendors can pay 10 cents for listing useless products for months or years while I pay for the server space and they pay only once with a few cents. This is what happened to other marketplace websites that I had helped design using other technologies in the past.
The vendors started listing anything and everything and the marketplaces suffered increasing server space and bandwidth costs. Therefore, we introduced the listing fee and everyone suddenly became careful about their pricing, products and promotions AND the IT costs fell significantly in 6 months.
Thank you.
Thanks
EKParticipantHi,
I checked the link.
Your solution is not user friendly for vendors when they can easily choose e-bay or amazon where product listing is possible to purchase for cents.
Imagine 1 vendor has high inventory for a specific month. I have to ask him to upgrade his plan and downgrade next month when he needs a lower limit? I will lose a recurring member just by bringing his attention to this point.
I have purchased group and staff and I design the membership according to capability and not product listing.
Listing fee is a big factor to recover server space cost and ensure that vendors are serious about listing and not just list crap products. Ofcourse I can limit space etc but look, the reality is people have better options to sell elsewhere and unless your plugin gives similar ease compared to big brands like ebay and amazon, no one likes to join when you say “limited space” or limited product listing in this membership plan. Convincing sellers to sell in our marketplace is the key to success.
We can try competing with price but you are talking against giants who dominate and under price the market.
So, everything comes down to a mix of business and technology. I have many decades of experience and most of your users will find it the hard way how tough it is to maintain a marketplace unless your plugin equips us with the features which allows us to compete with like weapons against the giants 😉
I hope it makes sense.
So in conclusion, I would say this feature is incomplete without a time frame. If a vendor lists for 10 years without a sale, I pay for that space. Multiply by 10,000 users doing the same with just 100 products and 10 years and you will know why listing fee was developed by e-bay to counteract this issue. Just this cost can kill the business unless action is taken.
I talk from experience in the industry here 🙂

Meaning, I want the rules to re-set every 30 days. You said “But possible to change this using filter, like last month, last year etc …
Please know me what you want to use, I will give you filter accordingly.”
If you can give, I can launch next week 🙂
Kindly read the post from the beginning to find our conversation.
Thanks a lot.

AKEKParticipantHi,
Do you have an update about this?

I already sent you 1 email long back which you could not reply since you were busy I guess, but this was a very important point to address in the email. So, no use about the email until I figure out how best to manage this shipping cost issue since as admin, I always pay to fulfill the order.
In short, I desperately need to find a solution for this since a majority of my income depends on this system working. I will get in touch with you via email after some deep thinking. Thank you for taking care of the other tickets since they will allow me to start making money on physical products.
Have a nice weekend. We get in touch via email next week.
Best Regards,
Founder,AKEKParticipantHi,
This is because each vendor will want to publish different number of products. So, we cannot predict this.
Eg: Vendor 1 wants to purchase only 25 product credits while vendor 2 wants 35.
Also, most people are used to 30 days membership plans. If I ask 4 months worth of fee at once, not many will stay.
Therefore, the only true solution is to allow them to purchase unlimited product credits while admin fixes the expiry (No. of days).
Lastly, membership plans have many other factors (Commission level/ capability limits etc). So, asking people to manually change membership to get more product limit is bad vendor experience as they have to do this multiple times and in this competitive market people are too much demanding and people tend to choose user friendly websites more.
Thank you 🙂 Have a nice day ahead 🙂
EKParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.EKParticipantJust perfect 🙂 Everything is working. Excellent codes 🙂
I will give you the fields in point 2 (Registration form) next week when we re-launch production with your plugin after migration. Have a nice weekend.

AKSeptember 19, 2019 at 6:48 pm in reply to: Avoid having to go through registration for existing member #82508EKParticipantThanks a lot 🙂 Have a nice day ahead 🙂
EKParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.EKParticipantThank you for the codes. The codes work.
3. Is there a way to add a placeholder text to tell vendor the limit so he knows. Is there any anyway to edit the text in the “question mark” that appears beside ‘meta description’? We can add a few instructions for better SEO ? Wonderful initial code btw 🙂
2. We will finalize the registration in production and write to you for the codes.
4. We will modify our procedures to respect this.
For all the other points, thank you very much for helping to resolve. We will wait for the update fix.
Best Regards,
AK
EKParticipantThank you for the code. It resolved issue is staging. I will confirm if prod is also good. For now, this is resolved 🙂
Thanks a lot and have a nice day.
