Thanks for get in touch with us and asking all this.
First of all, please don’t edit any WCFM core files. Believe me WCFM is already quite powerful to accept any customization from outside. WCFM Ultimate is just a add-on of that and totally works from outside. WCFM already comes with 1000+ hooks and filters, if required more we will definitely add for you but please don’t edit core files and block yourself from normal updates.
is_wcfm_page() – to check whether it’s WCFM dashboard or not? get_wcfm_url() – get WCFM dashboard URL wcfm_is_vendor() – will tell you whether a logged in user vendor or not?
Please know me if you want any further assistance from me.
This works perfectly. Thank you for including this as part of an update and I personaly commend you on the very fast turn around time.
It is great to see the passion and the high level of detail you put into this product, it is refreshing to see that you are so willingly to continually improve your product as well rather than having it as a ‘set and forget’ model.
This alone proves to me that procuring your paid version of the front end manager was a very sound investment!
Thank you for the recent updates especially Enquiry! You guys are doing amazing work with WCFM! I just have one small issue:
I have it set in WooCommerce – Products that Enable Review should be a required field but in WCFM, the vendors can still turn off the “Enable Reviews” checkbox on a Product page. Please advise of solution.
1. There is no error in browser console of WCFM product manage page. 2. Is after save product redirect to created new page? Or stay on WCFM product page and you may hit save button again and again!
Just for confirmation, can you please try the same once in our any demo sites and know me are you experiencing same issue or not!
I understand your concern. Actually, currently there is no such capability to block only “Add New Product” for vendors using WCFM – Ultimate. It comes with WCFM – Groups & Staffs actually.
Just relax, we will add that option in WCFM – Ultimate as well in next update.
“Submit Products” capability is essential to allow Products to vendors, as you disabled that so there is no Product option in Vendor dashboard.
As you told me your system is very specific and vendors are only with one product then you may also use “Product Limit” option for now, set it 1. Then vendors can edit there existing product but not able to add anymore.
Currently having an Issue whereby the ‘Products’ tab is only appearing for our vendors if we give them the ability to Submit or Publish their own products, we want them to only edit their existing Product, however, when this capability is ticked alone, the tab does not appear.
For context, we have created an online marketplace using Product Vendors where each vendor acts as a sole trader selling only themselves as a bookable product for work (therefore each vendor only has the 1 product being themselves). We need them to be able to update their product (bookable self) so they can change booking availability when needed, we don’t want to give them the option to add or even submit new products as this could lead to confusion.
I have attached a screen shot of our capabilities to aid in my comment. Many Thanks.
I posted earlier about the product variations entered in WCFM not being populated in the product in WP Admin view and you mentioned that the new update will take care of that.
After the update, the product variations entered in WCFM are now populated but the problem is that they are mostly duplicated, sometimes leading to an “Invalid or duplicated SKU” error message.
We tested several different product entries with different variations (in different browsers) and experience some bugs with every try. The biggest problem is that sometimes, variations entered by the vendor through the WCFM are duplicated into the WP product listing. For example, in one case we entered 4 different variations for a product in WCFM – received an āInvalid or duplicated SKUā error while trying to save as draft – deleted all except one variation = still received āInvalid or duplicated SKUā error = checked the product in WP as admin = found 15 total variations under the variation tab despite only 4 had been entered in WCFM. Most variation had been duplicated by WCFM for whatever reason.
In another example, we entered a product with 2 variations. Did not receive an error in this case but looking at the product in WP admin, a total of 4 variations had been transferred by WCFM to the WP product listing (the 2 variations that actually had been entered PLUS 2 “any size” variations.
Are you aware of those problems and working on correcting them?
4. Actually, we can set any hard code size or help text for that as it looks different in different themes. Just tell me your preferred help texts and we will add those for you.
